My heart is breaking for Japan

The terribly sad and catastrophic disaster in Japan has not been getting any better. In fact, things are only getting horribly worse.

The Japanese people are now living in a nightmare.
If you pray, pray for Japan, if you meditate, meditate for Japan, if you dance, then dance for Japan. Whatever it is that you do, to make a connection to your own sense of divinity or to a higher power or consciousness, then do that with Japan in mind. Even if you are an atheist, then think of sending focused positive mental energy to Japan. We all desperately need to focus as much as we can on healing this gaping and bleeding wound. We can make a difference, we can help, even in the smallest way it all makes a difference.

The Japanese catastrophe as it stands will have a global effects and the longer this open nuclear wound continues to hemorrhage the more serious the long term global effects will be. Hawaii and the entire west coast of North America from Alaska to Baja are directly down wind from Japan. Air that has already been exposed to radiation is already beginning to arrive in California. As this situation gets worse then the amount of radiation in the air will increase.

You will be told that there are only minuscule amounts of radiation in the air and that there is nothing to worry about. Even if, this is true or not, this is not my point. Any amount of radiation is dangerous to your health. And the fact is you will most likely not be told the truth of it. Recent history is filled with very clear examples of this fact.

So what can you actually do? How do you run from a global catastrophe?

Actually some of the most effective things that you can do for yourself are simple. It takes a bit of self education and a trip to your local health food store. Your diet is your first line of defense.

The items I will list bellow, if added to you shopping list, will help your body to deal with the radiation that we all will be breathing.

Iodine:
“Iodine is the most obvious and important element in protecting against radiation damages. Radioactive iodine will plunge into any and all iodine receptor cites that have no iodine in them due to iodine deficiencies. This is a serious problem because over 90 percent of people in North America, according to Dr. David Brownstein, are iodine deficient. This leaves them incredibly vulnerable.”
“Humans tolerate large doses of iodine so the very high dosages recommended for protection for radioactive iodine are not usually a problem except for those who already have serious problems with their thyroids, which is quite a lot of people considering how many are deficient in this vital nutrient.”

“If radiation threatens, it behooves people to start taking the highest dosages tolerable to protect not only their thyroids but also all the glandular tissues as well. Iodine protects the thyroid, breasts, prostate and ovary glands as well as other tissues in the body from radiation if present in sufficient quantities.”

Other things that are quite simple to add to your diet:

Baking soda, brown rice, miso and seaweed.
Sulfur-rich vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and mustard greens.
High-chlorophyll foods like wheatgrass, barley grass, spirulina and chlorella.
Polyphenolic antioxidants like pine bark extract, green tea extract, grape seed extract, and Haritaki or terminalia chebula.

These things added to your diet can make a huge difference in how your body deals with radiation. What ever your level of exposure, your diet will make the difference. These things will also help with the hundreds of other pollutants and toxins that we are all being exposed to every day. So I recommend putting these things on your shopping list weather you are down wind of Japan or not.

Don’t let these unfortunate events just happen to you. Take action.
Get prepared, get informed and be proactive.
Don’t just hope to survive, aspire to thrive.
